The Plague is an ancient alien pathogen with no known cure. Once a population is infected, organisms develop into horrifying "Generations" of the disease. An infection typically results in the GCPS removing the planet from the star charts and shutting off all access, often literally taking the nuclear approach to neutralizing it.
The plague are the largest horde army in the game. They truly embody "quantity is it's own quality" - they have the only 9 base infantry unit. They are somewhat the undead of the warpath universe, being able to turn destroyed enemy bases into their own (i.e. the equivalent of the life-leech rule (on a 7+ roll)).
As expected for a horde army, Plague have more models on their sprue than any other faction (though the sprue is not quite the largest - that goes to the forge fathers!).
Mantic's build instructions for the Plague are
here.
So for the plague, we start off with the plague Mule.
A - Plague Mule

The frame fits into the chassis, with the back fitting into the bracket at the back, with the front 'rake' sticking out.

The Autocannon fits into the hole just in front of the bed
My firefight version is a bit beat up, but that is pretty thematic for Plague anyway

B - Plague Artillery

The Tank treads fit onto the tabs on the tank body.

B3 |
The the cannon fits onto the slot on the top
C - Plague Strider / Plague Tankbuster Strider
There are two options for two different profiles for the plague strider. The standard strider is close combat but also has a flamer, the Tankbuster has a 24" range and AP2
Both versions use the same body, just different arms

C3 |
The arms just fit onto the balls for the shoulders, and are fairly obvious between left and right.

Again the arms are obvious - then then attach to the Polaris Cannon. One note - the top of the gun has the two protrusions (I'm not sure what they are) on the top - the left hand is on the bottom.

Plague Tankbuster Strider |
I used blu-tac for the first strider as there is only one body per sprue, and glued the more complex one with the polaris cannon. Of course when I pulled out my firefight / deadzone one, it is the one with chainsaw and flamer :-) Still the size comparison works.
The rest of the sprue is all single piece infantry

E - Stage 3a HMG
These are ghouls with Heavy Machine Guns

F - Stage 3z Zombies
The zombies are unique in that they have units with 9 bases instead of the standard 6 or 3. That makes them a true horde.

I think this is my favorite sculpt - the plague zombie eating guts (it always looked to me like he was eating his own guts actually)

G - Stage 2a Leapers

I wanted to find the old "I just want a hug" leaper, but think I have traded it away. I also really liked the one that was literally leaping over a broken wall. |

I/J - Stage 3a Command
It seems like every faction has a different way to number the command models. For this, they are I1 and J1

Love the hat for the ghoul commander |
