Vanguard Pre-orders are up!

Pre-orders for Mantic's new Kings of War Skirmish game - Vanguard - went up today.  So what exactly is out there?

Of course you have the book with all the rules, as well as starter army lists for 14 warbands (however I believe Mantic is planning on producing PDF versions for the armies that are not in the book (which are armies that they don't make miniatures for at this time)).

  • Full rules for playing Kings of War Vanguard, covering combat, power dice, terrain, and more!
  • 12 challenging scenarios
  • Background for the world of Mantica and the factions who fight there
  • Starter Warband lists and faction specific spells for the Basileans, Dwarfs, Elves, Northern Alliance, Forces of Nature, Forces of the Abyss, Ogres, Trident Realm, Abyssal Dwarfs, Empire of Dust, Goblins, Nightstalkers, Orcs, and Undead
  • Equipment lists for arming your troops
  • Advanced spell book with alignment-specific spells
  • Rules for Campaigns, from building your Company, advancing through experience, to tying your games into Kings of War!

Of course, to play Vanguard you need power dice

Finally, the dwarfs (because they are Ronnie's favorites) are also getting new models:

Ok, so these aren't being released yet, but this is the first I've seen of them, so of course I wanted to share a little bit.

Oh, and they have a limited number of one more tiny miniature (full release is in January, but 500 are available in October)

Of course all of these new models are also compatible with Kings of War (and I believe the Clash of Kings 2019 will have rules for all the new models that don't have units yet).  So which faction are you playing?

Because it is all fun and games . . .
