And there was much rejoicing (yeah).

As I somewhat predicted Mantic is finally releasing metal upgrade kits for units by themselves, instead of bundled with other miniatures (and that is sometimes, there are some of these that have previously been completely unreleased).

Most of these are for Kings of War, though there are a couple for warpath.

One of my favorite bits is the Ogre bagpipes.  I have run into an issue with them though - I've found that the thin restic legs on the ogres start to bend from the weight of the metal bagpipes over time - both of the ones I've used are now leaning over (and I used a hair dryer to heat them up and re-position them LAST year).  I am planning to re-position them again then put in a long steel wire pin to stabilize the legs.

Ogre Warriors Command Pack  MSRP £7.99 / €10.99  / $12.99
Previously unreleased, now you can have command for your Ogre Berserker Braves!
Ogre Berserker Braves Command Pack   MSRP £7.99  /€10.99  / $12.99
Standard, musician and special champion model.  I used to laugh in first edition how the little harp the elves had for musicians would be so intimidating to the enemy.
Elf Palace Guard Command Pack MSRP £6.99 / €9.49  / $10.99
Sorry - I wasn't able to find a picture of the actual bits, though it appears to be a harp, a sword arm and a banner.
Elf Stormwind Cavalry Command Pack  MSRP £4.99 / €6.99  / $7.49
Men at arms banner and musician bits.
Basilean Man-at-arms Command Pack  MSRP £4.99 / €6.99  / $7.49
Paladin banner, horn and a couple of hand with swords.  Used for both the Paladins on Foot as well as the Paladin Knights
Basilean Paladin Command Pack:  MSRP £4.99 / €6.99  / $7.49
Give your ladies a horn and banner as they charge into battle.  Used for both the Sisterhood infantry and Panther Lancers
Basilan Sisterhood Command Pack   MSRP £4.99 / €6.99  / $7.49
Because your cowardly goblins need all the help they can get!
Goblin Fleabag Rider Command Pack  MSRP £4.99 / €6.99  / $7.49
I've always liked the drums that beat themselves as the dwarfs ride into combat.
Dwarf Berserker Brock Rider Command Pack  MSRP £4.99 / €6.99  / $7.49
Even with the picture of the champion head upside down, a great addition to your immortal guard units (I particularly like the snakes on the flag)
Abyssal Dwarf Immortal Guard Command Pack  MSRP £4.99 / €6.99  / $7.49
Moloch command?  There was Moloch command?  Why didn't somebody tell me they had those . . . things?  I really wish I had them, even though I only have a demo Abyssal army.
Forces of the Abyss Moloch Command Pack  MSRP £7.99  /€10.99  / $12.99
Since the zombies and ghouls are compatible kits, you could use these for either.  In first edition ghouls did not have the option for command, but now everybody does!
Undead Zombies Command Pack  MSRP £4.99 / €6.99  / $7.49
Nice bat themed banner and horn for your vampires, either on foot or mounted
Undead Soul Reaver Command Pack  MSRP £4.99 / €6.99  / $7.49

For Warpath, there are currently four available, and more coming
The default armament for Striders (Enforcer, GCPS, Plague and Rebs) is now finally available
Strider Burst Laser upgrade pack  MSRP £4.99 / €6.99  / $7.49
For when your Iron Ancestor doesn't have quite enough shooting already
Forge Father Iron Ancestor Doomstorm Cannon upgrade pack  MSRP £3.99 / €5.99  / $6.49
These metal bits replace the old restic Enforcer w/ rocket launcher (which did have a slight issue with the base being a little thick, making the mini too tall).  Now you can easily have a team equipped with rocket launchers, and who doesn't need that.
Enforcer Heavy Support upgrade pack  MSRP £4.99 / €6.99  / $7.49
Sneak in and attach these bombs to enemy armor and watch the fireworks.
Enforcer Breach & Eradicate upgrade pack  MSRP £4.99 / €6.99  / $7.49
And while not yet on the web store, I have been told that we should be getting the bits available soon for both the Ajax Strider and the Arbiter Interceptor!

I for one, am glad to see these options now readily and easily available.

Because it is all fun and games . . .
