Warpath is coming!

From April Fool's day to Easter, April is a time of celebration and renewal.  Spring finally begins to come into it's own, flowers start to bloom, and the galaxy is plunged into war!

Yes, April is long awaited commercial release of Warpath.

While the kickstarter has completed the first wave of shipping ( yes, we are still waiting for all the vehicles ), Mantic has added a few new retailer exclusives that look too useful to miss.

First, for those who are seriously into the warpath universe
Warpath Rulebook Collection
MGWPM101
£29.99/€39.99/$49.99

As powerful races clash over the fate of whole worlds, devastating weapons, swift aircraft and formidable tanks are brought to bear. Mighty armies take to the battlezones of the far future to fight for their leaders, as the galaxy is plunged into war.

Contents: 3 Softback, Books, including Warpath Rulebook, Firefight Rulebook, Sourcebook and Exclusive Slipcase.

There may be people who only want to play one of the warpath variants, so they can purchase the rulebooks separately, though the sourcebook is currently only available in the set (But look at it this way, if you buy the boxed set it is the same price as the two rulebooks, so you effectively get the sourcebook for free!)
Warpath Rulebook
MGWPM102
£14.99/€19.99/$24.99

Assume the role of a battlefield commander, overseeing the firefights and long--ranged engagements fought out by futuristic armies.

Contents: 160 Page Softback Book, with full rules and 6 full army lists for futuristic mass--battle wargames.
Warpath Firefight Rulebook
MGWPM103
£14.99/€19.99/$24.99

Engage in tense squad--based action and skirmishes using hi--tech weapons and heroic soldiers, where the stakes are desperate and every bullet counts.

Contents: 160 Page Softback Book, with full rules and 6 full army lists for futuristic squad--level wargames

For those just trying out a miniature wargame for the first time, the two player starter set is an ideal way to get going with the game.  I'm a bit curious about the dual-format (i.e. Warpath & Firefight rules) rulebook in the set - could this be a smaller 'gamer' edition?  I'd like to see it to see if it has all the rules (just not the fluff).

Warpath Plastic Counter Set
MGWPM105
£9.99/€14.99/$17.99

In Warpath the tide of battle forever turns -- advantages are sought, tactical objectives taken and then lost in the violent fluidity of combat. This counter set allows commanders to make sense of the chaos in the wars of the distant future.

Contents: 12 Activation Counters, 12 Suppression Counters, 4 Shield Counters, 2 Tag Counters and 10 Objective Counters.
Warpath Command Dice
MGWPM106
£9.99/€14.99/$17.99

Pre--planning and intel are useful, but when laser bolts scorch the air, smoke obscures all vision, and the
cries of enemy and friend alike mingle – it is command on the ground that counts. Command dice represent the
general’s ability to control their troops in the massed battles of Warpath.

Contents: 8 Bespoke 8–sided Command Dice.

Of course it is the new retailer exclusives you are interested in.

Well you can show your love for all Mantic mass combat games with their new tape measure!
Mantic Tape Measure
MKESS18
£4.99/€6.99/$7.99

This set contains a 3m/10' Auto--Locking Tape Measure for use in tabletop games.

Ok, even as rabid a mantic fan-boy as I may seem can't get excited about a tape measure (now I wonder when someone is going to make a decent tape measure with a straight line laser (using normal batteries) built in - that would be interesting!).

No, what I am going to have to give up more of my hard earned cash for it these:

Warpath Objective Cards
MGWPM112
£7.99/€10.99/$12.99

War should never be a pointless conquest. There should always be a prime objective and you will do
whatever it takes to complete your mission and stop the enemy achieving theirs!

Contents: 66 Objective Cards for use in games of Warpath or Firefight, including faction specific objectives.

Finally, I can't leave my Kings of War fans without a little something - so here is a render of the new Tree Herder being worked on at the studio.  I don't currently have one in either my elf nor my nature demo armies, but I may just have to refigure one of them to include him!  And I think it might even be in resin instead of metal!

Because it is all fun and games . . .
